About a year ago, when I installed Arch, my first Linux distro, most things were great. However, while testing some commands in pacman, there were a bunch of Python-related packages (even though I hadn't downloaded them). Since I needed some disk space, I figured deleting them wouldn't hurt. Unfortunately, I couldn't boot again. I guess the ones related to Python were related to Hyprland and Quickshell.
interesting, but would certainly be good to see an apples to apples benchmark of rari vs node/deno/bun for the same app, I would imagine the goals of the runtime are not to be a general runtime like those others, but it would still be good to see if it performs better
I'm currently working on a RethinkDNS-like (Android) and DNSCrypt-Proxy-like app built with Tauri + Svelte. It will include DNS blocklists, a custom WireGuard proxy, and potentially cross-platform device support. I'm using Mullvad's GotaTun implementation. I wanted to learn more about these networking concepts. If I finish it, I'll open-source it.
Tubular is great. Though they sometimes take a while to fix playback issues, like the one where videos only played for 10 seconds. That caused a bunch of forks to come out and I used those for a period of time.
Lately I discovered Firefox with background play and sponsor block extensions still work. If this stops working hopefully tubular will be a good backup.
