What a wonderful article/anecdote.

I have and will always be an advocate of human connections. My experience of working across a number of agencies and startups has been the best focus on that (though it can be hard to sustain).

I would love to work with people and at places that understand and realise the value of this.

Like this idea, have been looking for subtle, soft but phone sounding tones for a while. Looking forward to any updates!

Happy to see other people find it useful! I wasn't really foreseeing any updates, but interested to know if you have any ideas to expand the project

In my experience there is much wisdom in emotions and feelings when they are connected to and integrated into our whole self.

Emotions/Feelings are fundamental to existence itself i.e. they are the drivers for everything else. There is a lot of fascinating research/understanding going on in this domain which is worth studying. You might find the following two books interesting;

1) The Emotional Brain: The Mysterious Underpinnings of Emotional Life by Joseph Ledoux.

2) How Emotions Are Made: The Secret Life of the Brain by Lisa Feldman Barrett.

This looks incredibly useful. Is there a version for models outside of the US coming, perhaps UK? Or any recommendations for an equivalent service folks have used?

Probably not from us, unfortunately. I hope more resources like this can be put out there by others for other jurisdictions though!

The article isn't very informative.

I watched a video of Emad Mostaque (Stability AI CEO) recently; he alluded to discussions with Apple, but who knows to what degree. The general thrust being we need to have greater control over our data and that's one of the things Stability is working towards, which chimes with Apples overall approach.

A quotes website: https://thinkmindful.com - I love quotes and have been collecting them for years.

I thought it would be nice to share them with others and offer a weekly quotes by email service too (sadly neglected for a while).

This is super cool! I have also collected quotes for some years, I think one of my favorite recent ones is, "The greatest crime is to do nothing because we fear we can only do a little." - John Le Carré (Little Drummer Girl)

love this design!

There are companies that are researching the use of encoding information in DNA strands, as it holds both lots of information, and degrades relatively slowly over time...

Wow this is fascinating. Some random thoughts popped into my head.

- Would this drive up the cost of these vehicles?

- Is there likely to be a fundamental change in the way that these components are sourced, a move away from just in time?

- Is this mirrored in other industries?

Kahlil Gibran - The Prophet.

Timeless themes written in beautiful prose:

It's out of copyright (first published in 1923, so almost 100 years), someone has put a website together of each theme, here is one on work:

I've probably moved on from this book a little now - but it's still beautiful and sometimes gives much needed perspective.
