Edit: for those who didn't know, like me, apple's maps are available at https://maps.apple.com. You can see this yourself. The effect is unvelievably smooth compared to what Google maps have
This was launched in 2019. A few years ago I remember speculating that they were holding it back with the cool 3D effects to do a big push alongside Vision Pro, but that's come and gone with no significant change to Look Around.
California isn't doing bad, but outside of that they're averaging about 0.5 locations per state.

Don't complain about tangential annoyances, I know, I know... but how the hell am I supposed to judge the difference between the images in the post if you disabled zoom and the images are incredibly small? And when I open them in a new tab they automatically download?
On the plus side, I like the informal writing of the post. You can be serious about business and still be human

Yeesh struck a nerve for some folks. I agree too much AI slop and am also tired of it.
I didnt like this because the title looks clickbaity and the actual website content is not compelling. The landing page as far asi can tell doesnt show any glass painting. Maybe i didnt dig deep enough.
I wouldn't trust myself to always remember to sanitize it, and in a company with more than one person, it becomes impossible to ensure it is properly handled.
