An engraving pen on glass? Why not get some sheet glass and a stick of color. Write it directly onto the glass _in glass_

I used to work on bikes professionally, and this was the first place we went for help. Even today, it's one of the clearest resources out there

It isn't entirely that.

Somewhat, sure.

It's also managers who tell you you're being laid off, but good news, not for three months. And, oh, by the way, if you leave early no severance.

And why are you being laid off?

Your duties are being offshored.

_You_ aren't being offshored because they need three people to replace you, but your duties are.

Ostensibly this saves money.

It's named 4.0.0-alpha1. Just add the 1 and the link works

Thanks. The docs need to be updated at https://four.htmx.org/

Of course they're misleading. What did the doctor tell us when my mom was diagnosed? Don't do research, do not trust Dr. Google, Dr. Google lies. At best, Dr. Google is behind the times.

The specifics of your case will strongly affect what happens to you. And even for cancers that are a guaranteed death sentence, survival has increased significantly in recent years.

Only life itself carries a "guaranteed death sentence".

You tell that to everybody with a glioblastoma.

Go ahead, tell them the aggressive mass in their brain, the thing that shortened whatever potential life expectancy they had to, at best, single digit years, isn’t a guaranteed death sentence.

They’ll be so comforted by the idea that maybe their already shortened life expectancy will be further reduced by a car accident or some idiot with a knife.

Perfect example. I myself survived a grade 4 GBMO. "5-year survival rate: 10%, median life expectancy: 18 months." That was 13 years ago next month.

Your idea that hope is going to lead to a car crash? or murder by knife? is one of the most bizarre and ridiculous things I've ever read.

And go see the demos! Or watch their YouTube channel!

Assuming you aren't looking for an exact millimeter-for-millimeter version of the spiral condenser, I bet you could find someone to make it in the US quite easily.

It's still one of the major glassblowing countries. In fact, if you remember when folks were worried about those two quartz mines in Spruce Pine, NC that are the only place with pure enough quartz for chips? That's also the home of Spruce Pine Batch, one of the big glass suppliers in America.

Ironically with glass itself, it's the ones that take less time that tend to be better.

Especially any borosilicate glass with a hard edge

You might notice that this link isn't from Corning. It's from the Corning Museum of Glass' excellent library
