We almost agree, I would go for D, A, C, B :-)

Thanks for this. Moving forward I will reply with this (without trying to guess the values for the variables):

  Hi <recruiter name>,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m not interested at this time, but I’ll keep <your company> in mind.
It's low cost and effective.

Wonderful. I think this is also the exact right amount of effort for those recruiters that tell me they like the .Net experience on my LinkedIn profile (there's none, really, I do mostly Java).

I love this. It's delightfully passive aggressive.

"Un U renversé"

Piling up to the pile, the lack of trackpoint is what prevents me to buy a framework laptop. Please :-)

We all have different backgrounds and different interests, you know.

Maybe you can share your knowledge, so those of us who are not dealing with mergers/acquisitions/takeovers can learn something?

Not free and not open source, but Navicat has been working very well for me over the years.

Why wouldn't you be able to support both MySQL and PostgreSQL without an ORM?

This implies to create 2 queries each time you want to hit the database. One query for PostgreSQL and one query for MySQL. This is something we can't afford. Do you have some good tips to manage this ? To be honest the ORM is required only to support multiple database.

That's really sad news, their service was very reliable and always the fastest to send alerts (compared to Pingdom and StatusCake). Also their pricing was usage based - no oversized plan to choose from. Will miss them.

Anybody around here can recommend a good alternative?

a) yes, it is new to me because I was not raised in your country, not because the web came after I was born.
