Yes and no. Active noise cancelling works well at a point and against some common kinds of noise, but if you want to act on a large area such as a tube station, active noise cancelling won't work. Much better to introduce a bit of white noise or music, that makes e.g. the clack-clack-clack of footsteps on the stairs much less noticeable in the wider area.
No, active noise cancelling isn't about masking noise with sound, active noise cancelling takes the original noise and mixes it back 180 degrees out of phase. The net result is zero noise, when done perfectly. In practice it's almost like that (for the frequencies covered by the noise cancelling equipment - in an airplane it's like the background noise just.. turns off. What's left is typically people talking. It's easier to hear the flight attendants).
If instead it was by adding sound then it would defy the purpose. I use active noise cancelling because if I don't I'll hear a noise in my head for weeks after a long-haul flight (I have tinnitus in one ear which makes it even worse).
Lance Hedrick in his latest video (review of Decent XL) mentions that he got the Gaggiuino parts, but haven't got around to building it. I look forward to that video, whenever it comes out.
Yeah, I’m looking forward to his experience. I’ve been on the fence about whether to build a Gaggiuino myself, or sell the GCP and upgrade to a dual boiler machine. I don’t really care for flow profiling, but more stable temps and auto shot timing would be nice to have. And I make a lot of milk drinks so a DB would eliminate some of the wait time and need to flush the boiler.

FYI When using Chrome, incognito window carries a lot of baggage. For issues like this use Guest profile as it doesn't include extensions, caches, storage, etc. Optionally do a Google search first to seed it with cookies.
Reddit status page used to include graphs for errors and post/comment backlogs. Even if the overall status was not updated from green, it was clear that we're at the beginning of an incident based on spikes. It was too easy and useful, so of course they were removed.
I don't understand why they decided to remove the errors and post/comment backlog graphs instead of fixing them. It was a great way to see when to stop refreshing and go make coffee, while status remained green for while.
Checkout J. Kenji López-Alt on YouTube. He's is food writer (Serious Eats/Food Lab) and a chef and during lockdown he started making POV videos of him cooking for his family. You can see it in near-real time and pick up on techniques and shortcuts not normally emphasised.
I can also really recommend Adam Ragusea. All of his recipes are optimised for the home kitchen and he shows all of the steps including preparation (although sometimes sped up). He also has a lot of tips about not using so many pans etc.
TBH, all that's required for this label is that the final product is assembled at a plant in Germany. So what usually happens is "bulk ship from anywhere, have a plant for packaging the individual items in Germany."
I presume it would follow the same guideline as Reddit and r/IAmA, i.e. a primary source for verified accounts, but "generally unreliable" for everything else.
