Lup has such detailed and well-thought-out posts.

I used his guides when developing for the PineTime and everything worked perfectly. I would have been completely lost without his information.

Thank you Lup!

Thank you so much! :-)

I support non-interventionism as a default mode for public policy.

I also support the rights of private citizens living in a free society to act on their own behalf, however they see fit.

That's not a dangerous game, that's an excercise of the rights protected by the society they are part of.

Spam

If you click into the comment (click the time just past the name) you can "flag" it, which is the appropriate thing for spam. (Please don't flag comments you merely disagree with, keep it for actual spam or threats, etc).

Under your profile you can also enable "See dead" which will let you see flagged comments.

You can't flag a post if you don't have enough karma. What the threshold is gets tuned periodically, but I seem to remember that you get a lot of features at 500 karma; nanch currently has 409 karma, so I wouldn't be surprised if he can't flag it.

I only have 32 karma and I have the ability to flag.

Thank you, I am able to flag and will do so in the future. I was not aware. Thank you.

Hey, whatever happened to tarbackup?

Thank you for asking. The valuable feedback from the community was deeply fulfilling.

I didn't have the time to maintain the project, so I needed to shut it down.

I want to bring it back.

I made https://callrec.app just for that. It records calls for you and emails you the recording.

I made it just for me, but it works well enough for recording outbound calls.

I'm glad to see this research being done. They did a great job with the paper and their searchable site.

As mentioned in the article/paper, this attack vector has been used before.

I like FastMail too. I like their philosophy, that I can route and apply sorting rules to multiple domains easily, and I like their web interface.

There is recurring monthly billing and I've never experienced any issues with their billing. Reference image: https://piqdd.com/fastmail.billing.screen.png

How large is the team? Specifically, is it project management for 1 person or more than 1 person?

We need [Trump]'s administration to run Google.

We need [Trump]'s administration to run Facebook.

We need [Trump]'s administration to run Amazon.

In 4 years, substitute your own -- no thanks.

No offense, Nick Srnicek, but please keep the authoritarianism on that side of the pond.

Sounds like fun, I took the time to apply on https://mhacks.org.

The mhacks.org site could use some work though:

- no password reset

- you lose your profile after saving it and re-navigating
