Love Linux, been using Manjaro with Gnome for the last 10 years, but need to use Mac on my current job, so I tried to approach this constructively and work around the rough edges:
* Rectangle Pro for window management
* Better Display for better picture on non-4k display
+ a couple of more similar tools
+ retrainig muscle memory from Ctrl to Cmd and Emacs-y instead of Windows-y shortcuts
Feels okay now. Plus native ms365 apps, smooth sleep mode, great hardware and great battery time -- mac has its sweet spots as well.
Exactly there I was hit so many times by not using quotes around file permissions, because 0644 is interpreted as 420 and Ansible sets the permissions to '-r---w----' instead of '-rw-r--r--'.
For those used to /usr/bin/chmod remember that modes are actually octal numbers. You must give Ansible enough information to parse them correctly. For consistent results, quote octal numbers (for example, '644' or '1777') so Ansible receives a string and can do its own conversion from string into number. Adding a leading zero (for example, 0755) works sometimes, but can fail in loops and some other circumstances.
Despite this, I still think YAML is a nice configuration language. The problem is not with YAML, it's with the whole complexity we're trying to represent there. Whatever configuration language you use, the outcome will be the same. Reduce the complexity, and it will shine.

3 days ago, on January, 25, YouTube did a massive termination of the channels of the worldwide volunteer project "CREATIVE SOCIETY".
These channels had existed for about 10 years, and had never abused any of the YouTube policies. They were terminated by YouTube at once having been given neither a preliminary warning nor a detailed explanation of the reasons for termination. The whole video content was permanently deleted without giving the account owners a chance of backing it up. Even the private channels of the moderators were deleted.
The "CREATIVE SOCIETY" channels contained thousands of high quality volunteer-made videos on the most important topics for humanity, including crucial information on the climate change, deep analysis of the current social, economical, and geopolitical crisis, as well as the ways out of it by means of a peaceful evolutionary transformation of the profit-driven format of our society into a human-centric one.
YouTube is known for its dictator-like behavior, but now it's crossing all borders of humaneness. Will we remain silent, while our basic human rights are being abused right in front of us? Will we keep playing along with this democracy farce and pretend that everything's okay?

That's a stretch. You agreed to Google's EULA, if you thought that was "inhumane" then you shouldn't have signed up for the service in the first place. What happened to you is unfortunate, but part of your agreement. If you don't want it to happen again, host it yourself.

No, it's not a stretch. They define rules in their Community Guidelines, which seem reasonable and user-friendly. But then they all at once terminate a fair bunch of accounts that had existed for 10 years, contained thousands of videos, and always strictly followed their Community Guidelines with no explanation. How is that called?
Well, it just shows what monster the service and the monopoly behind that started with a "Don't be evil" policy has become over the years.
It turns out that my Manjaro is already running Gnome 40. Honestly, I didn't even notice when this upgrade took place, but now I finally get why the icons have changed! :D
Gnome may not be perfect, but as a DE it provides enough features, flexibility, simplicity and visual appearance. In the end, it's not the DE you're working with, you just need it for setting up your system, running your apps, window management, etc. Best is when you just forget about having it and Gnome is okay with that regards.
I think this anxiety comes from deep inside of me reminding that I've lost myself in that moment. It helps to just stop doing whatever I am doing, shut off my mind, turn to myself, and re-establish the connection with my inner self, which I tend to loose sometimes in the everyday hectic.
And what also helps me to retain and to strengthen this connection is simply love. Basically, to replace the negative thoughts, ambitions, etc. with truly positive values and things, to start caring about the people around, doing something good for the others without expecting anything in exchange and many other good things, which I'd never thought of before.
The books here have helped me to make the first step back then and are still helping me to stay on this way:

In the most basic sense of us all having to make use of a material world to achieve anything over the course of a lifetime, then yes, all pursuits are material in some way. Beyond that however I was simply using a specific example to explain that a more fundamental understanding of what Bukowski was saying can take into account things like survivorship bias and the danger of completely impractical dreams being pursued too far while still being coherent advice about how one should live their life. This is to pursue a larger meta-dream through practical, flexible steps and never give up because the meta-dream you've chosen fulfills you spiritually in the simple pursuit. It thus does this regardless of success or failure and specific hardships. You ride life to perfect laughter because you've chosen your fundamental calling knowing its cost and sacrifices.
