When I was growing up, it was not uncommon for urine to be added to watering the plants as a fertilizer, but not feces; I believe the latter creates a significant problem of bacterial contamination.


You can use nightsoil safely as long as you compost it long enough for pathogens to die off (2 years is good I think?).


There must be many types of different pharmaceuticals in human waste that may or may not break down.
