This brings back nostalgia, I loved the old mac UI especially Snow Leopard.
I remember when Xcode 4 came out and unified all of the windows, it was so much easier! This was also back when Xcode was one of the best IDEs, and there was no Swift.
To be 100% honest, the new macOS has a lot of convenient shortcuts and features that make it easier to use. As much as we long for the past it's easy to take things like tabs in windows and APFS/HTST for granted. But one thing which was undoubtedly better in the old mac was the UI: it's very hard to create a good skeuomorphic UI without it being cheesy or "off", but if done correctly it's way better than minimalism.
