I’d feel better if my tablet maker could create correction software that learns from watching me type and also adjusts from casual to/from technical writing. Some of my edit/retypes get repetitive…. If they can’t handle this, it’s not a good sign that similar ml systems can’t handle complex problems.


The economic incentive to fix your problem, or many of the other areas in which people perceive AI has shortcomings, is very small. The economic liability for failure is also astronomically different in both cases.


True, but the difficulty level is also staggeringly different and I suspect the methodology is quite(?) similar aside from scale. “My” problem would be a good prototype for more complex ones, particularly in edge case detection and handling.


I keep reading "Mercedes Is First To Sell A Level 3 Autonomous Vehicle In 2022". Doesn't that disprove the premise of this article?
