A bit of a snooze fest, but features for websites like twitter are weird, sometimes I forget to remember that people _like_ Twitter, so in some ways more of the same executed well is what you want.
But is there any other company doing well on a subscription model? Medium valuation is like 600 million, but they’ve slowed down right? Substack 2021 revenue was 9 mil but I assume they’ve seen big growth in 2022. Most of the “opportunity” I’ve seen people refer to when talking about twitter was the fact they only reach ~10,000 businesses for advertising. How big is the market for social media subscriptions, I guess that’s what they are trying to create.
New York Times has 2 billion in revenue so with his citizen journalism comment I guess he’s going for some of that (anyone notice the callback to Newsroom season 3 there?)
