I worked an overnight shift as a TV news producer, and was told to watch a recording of an earlierweb conference. The entire thing was a recording of the wrong monitor. I tried explaining to my boss that watching this wouldn't help me learn the new software, as if such oversight is required for most heavy computer users, but he insisted I watch it anyway, just so he could tell corporate everyone had seen it.
