It seems like there’s some work to get the show restored- https://forums.lostmediawiki.com/thread/5251/secret-city-198...

But I couldn’t find any links for the click funnel or KS. Wonder if anyone has come across anything else?

Conception - if you want to follow what is going on with the possible remaster, feel free to follow the Secret Universe socials at drawsquad.carrd.co

YouTube and X (Twitter) are probably the most important right now. If you reach out there someone can let you know how to join the reissue/remaster official mailing list.

The Secret City was a huge inspiration for my childhood sketching.

I excitedly told my art teacher at school about this show after having discovered it over summer vacation and she was not amused to be outdone by some gimmicky TV production. shrug

I loved this show as a kid. It did a great job at encouraging open ended imagination using drawing as a medium. I thought it had been lost to time and never knew anybody else who remembered it. Found a YouTube archive of most of the episodes in rather poor VHS transfers which was enough to let my nostalgia get fed for a while.

Keep an eye on the Secret Universe (drawing) channel on YouTube for updates on the series.

Loved this show as a kid. The neighbor kids would come over and we'd all watch it and draw stuff together. I still draw rockets and chains and weird cityscapes with arched doorways and suspended platforms, 35 years later.

His mother was a teacher at my high school, and a very nice and unique person - she had this looong flowing hair that she kept up in an Elmer Fudd style hat until the last day of school.

Mark was a really nice guy as well, I randomly passed him on a hiking trail far from there 20 years later and recognized him. We had a fun chat about his mom and his career.

I LOVED watching The Secret City as a kid.

Perhaps it's an unpopular opinion, but although I enjoyed watching Commander Mark as a kid, it didn't really help me draw at all. Seeing my kid learn to draw with youtube tutorials makes me think that there are much better options available these days.

Hi gnicholas.

Can you share a little more about your experiences with learning to draw?

How old were you when you were watching Secret City? How much of the show were you able to see or draw along with?

Was there any particular problems/weaknesses with the Secret City drawing that you found made it not very effective?

How old were your children when they started really learning to draw?

Commander Mark taught me what a drop shadow was when I was like 6 years old

Me too, friend. Me too.
