took an ml model from MIT and using it as the foundation for the open sourced cure to acne. if we all come together and share our protocols we can quickly identify what works and what doesnt
I don't think there is a single treatment that cures everyone's acne. Everyone's body is different (for the same reason some people suffer from acne to varying degrees while others don't).
Actually, I think eating a perfect diet (no sugar, no grains, lots of vegetables, etc) may work for most people, but that is too inconvenient and expensive compared to the other protocols I ended up using. And even then, one person's perfect diet may not be the same as another person's perfect diet.

I used to get severe, deep cystic acne (mostly on my face, but also chest, back, and scalp). Topical treatments didn't seem to work. (I tried so many different treatments: topical, internal, diet, skin brushing, acupuncture, etc)
There were only two treatments that seemed to work:
1. Regular antibiotics to kill the P. Acnes bacteria.
2. OR low-dosage Isotretinoin (Accutane) to restrict the bacteria's food source. (My face is naturally so oily people mistake it for sweat.)
Recently, I think I found a third treatment that seems to work for me:
- DIM supplements to help regulate hormone levels. (Specifically estrogen, even though I'm a guy)
- After 7+ months my deep, severe cystic acne hasn't returned. (I do still get a "normal amount" of smaller non-cystic acne on my face and acne on my scalp near the neck but it's relatively minor compared to the severe deep cystic acne I used to suffer from.)
My acne took one to three months to surface (if I stopped one of the successful treatments, it would take up to three months before cystic acne started appearing again. Then it would take up to three months after re-starting the treatment to eliminate the cystic acne.)
